The Wal-Mart aspect makes more sense than it seems as the produce department is very good and all markets will get produce from the same places (i.e. wherever any given food item is in-season) so any considerations of slave labor in foreign lands would apply to most or all produce markets.
The irony to me is that the Wal-Mart produce department is everything McDonald's is not.
