Kelly Glissendaner did things which can never be forgiven and she won't be released from prison. The state of Georgia scheduled her for execution last week but called it off due to weather (i.e. icy conditions). She was re-scheduled but they called off the execution again because the drugs they would use appeared 'cloudy' and we assume they worried that use of them might cause a post-op infection.
We don't know if she gets a Last Meal each time. Do they have to do that every time they schedule her execution or do they only do it once no matter how much of a mockery they make of dignity between that time and when they actually kill her.
We don't know how often they will jerk her around in going through the motions of executing her and then calling it off at the last minute. She lives The Pit and the Pendulum and she never knows if the blade will take her head off on this swing.
Meanwhile she became a degreed student of theology and has been practicing her form of a ministry within the prison. This has been to the approval of the prison establishment which agrees she does good work.
It's not even just opposition to capital punishment anymore as they make a travesty of the entire procedure and there's nothing defensible about any of it.
Georgia officials said they deferred the execution due to an 'abundance of caution' based on the consequences of using 'cloudy' chemicals. Their only caution is regarding a public relations problem so they don't have the stiff writhing, barking, and puking. That would make such an unseemly display of it and be so uncomfortable to observe. Who wants anything so icky in the news.

in my view it is torture in a " civilized" country and legal ... its disgusting ... the death penalty is one thing but how they treat these ppl and they are still humans is torture Cat
The same countries that say the death penalty is so effective are the ones who use it the most. How much more proof does anyone need that it does not work.
