The lead guitar work in "Crossroads" is famous to guitarists and this is a very well-executed video on how to play it. I don't normally watch how-to videos and I was surprised at the kid's knowledge and ability.
I don't necessarily agree with this type of guitar playing as many times it's called New School but it's not clear why. It's faster for sure but it's often emotionless so there's a delicate balance. They're your fingers, work 'em right.
An example many love is Tina S as she is cute and is, maybe, fifteen but she can already play this stuff. She is smokin' fast ... but she's almost flat emotionally. She's very young so no tellin' if that means anything but it's a concern with speed playing as, in my view, it walks far away from the lyricism that's fundamental to the spirituality of it. Sometimes you just want to bend a string to feel that sweet sting.
