There was a bit of a contrast between F1 and NASCAR this week-end. For F1, Hamilton made an elegant move to take the lead from Rosberg and never gave it back. Ricciardo comes in third so he is definitely a New Contender as he's been up there multiple times this year.
Very fast, very dangerous, very elegant.
And then there's NASCAR
This one was priceless as Jeff Gordon has been NASCAR's pretty boy for years but he fooled them and turned out to be damn fast. Brad Keselowski is never going to be a pretty boy but he has still mustered up a fan base. When these two got to fighting over what was perceived to be a bad move on the track, the fans react in various ways:
Keslowski fans hope Gordan gets hammered into the pavement.
Gordan fans hope Keselowski gets punched back into being a cocker spaniel.
Fans of other racers hope both of them knock each other out.
Yet other fans may say grow up and drive right. There are very few of these ones as the crashes are big bucks for NASCAR and fights all the better.
So, very fast, very dangerous ... but elegant really isn't the word that's coming to me.
It's not clear who was right or wrong in the incident. Fans give different reports on who the bad guy was and I have not seen the video.
