Sonya Jevette Does the Conga at Cat's Art MusikCircus

Sonya Jevette is one of my three most-favorite performers playing at Cat Boucher's Art MusikCircus.  Even so, it will do no favor to you if I write about her set week and week.  However, last night there were more ladies on the stage for the "Big Girls" song and, most of all, there was quite a line of conga dancers.  The musical difference was that Sonya used her original songs exclusively for the show and this was outstanding.  Hear Sonya's originals for yourself on the Sonya Jevette Web site.

From left to right:  Medora Chevalier (blowing bubbles as always), Kaia Shippe (this week with hair), Sonya Jevette, and Aquiel Aero.

There were more ladies on-stage dancing with Sonya during the "Big Girls" song and there were more people in the audience this week.  Sonya said it was her best show ever and I'm glad of that as she does a great job covering Adele and others but where Sonya stands out is with her originals.

Toward the end of the show, the Conga line started:

There were eleven or twelve people in the line as it chugged around the MusikCircus and Sonya Jevette is one of them.

And Cat and I, well, we rode the Ferris wheel!

Cat may not like this one as it reveals the embarrassing truth that she closes her eyes at the top of the ride.
