As Cat says, she doesn't think she does that much. It seems in 2009 The Stream Scene disagreed and, by popular vote, Cat Boucher was awarded the Metaverse Stream Scene Award for Favorite Supporting Venue.
Cat has a singular determination to present live music that is out of the mainstream and in accordance with quite strong principles of music. The quality of the performers she presents and the quality of the music they play is extraordinary. It would be more commercially successful to present acts that simply do the same cover songs people have heard a thousand times before but she won't. Unless an artist is bringing originality to the performance then there's no place for that act at Cat's Art MusikCircus. If there is a place then Cat's determination to support that artist is exceptional including trying to find the potential for real-life gigs as well as Second Life.
But she doesn't think she does anything. Perhaps you scoff and say she doesn't really believe that but do rest assured she definitely means it and it's one of the most extraordinary things about her.
