"The Destroyer" (poem)

She burned her kid for a closet
and maybe he's still there
but there's one thing I know
that no-one fucking cares

No-one fucking cares
No-one fucking cares

Living life for drama
but not feeling anything
looks really good on paper
but it's no life to win

The truth becomes the lies
told louder than the rest
and no-one cares what's real
it's an otherworldly jest

No-one fucking cares
No-one fucking cares

You say that I owe you
but it's just another lie
You don't care what you cost me
It doesn't fit your alibi

You didn't care what you destroyed
just to fill your mindless needs
and no-one will believe
you did these hellish deeds

No-one fucking cares
No-one fucking cares

I should have seen the danger
I should have known the worst
You were always a destroyer
and I was not the first

He drinks in front of mirrors
of a life that might have been
now broken by the posture
of his vicious would-be queen

No-one fucking cares
No-one fucking cares

Thirty years of nightmare
and now he's nearly dead
Soon he'll wind up in a closet
with a son in his cold bed

It all sounds good in talking
to people you don't know
and isn't that the way
to let the cancer grow

No-one fucking cares
No-one fucking cares

She took him for his money
as he drank himself to death
and she will take every farthing
until he takes his last breath

It doesn't mean a thing
not a single word you say
as the only time you speak
is to see what it will pay

No-one fucking cares
No-one fucking cares
