Music comes out on top and that's always good to see. The sharks haven't even been making the list lately and that's interesting in its way as people are terrified by the idea of being eaten by a shark in the Mediterranean but there's one tiny detail: it's almost impossible. In the last century, maybe ten people have been eaten by sharks in the Med. Of course, it was important write some helpful documentation entitled, "Great White Sharks in the Mediterranean - You Are Food," and that one has had thousands and thousands of hits.
"Spending Time with Mirrors or in Them" is a Cheech & Chong bit except we were doing these things.
"The Warsaw Uprising" may be all you ever need to know about politics. This, as much as possible, is what happened and you may be surprised by some of it.
The next three are pot luck but they went well today too.
"I Love America" may be a surprising title but the content isn't the usual flag-waving you see everywhere but nor is it negative, not in my view, at least.
"The Tail of Tree Droppings" is about one of my tragedies. You may find it amusing. I do.
As to bands blowing away melody, here's a peach of an example in Eric Johnson as "Cliffs of Dover" has a clear melody to it but Johnson will come up to it and pull back away, shredding his fingers into melting, but always returning to confirm the theme of it. When you first go into the video, he will be grandstanding but roll with it and you'll see how he goes about 2:30 into it. Listen for the riffing. Now he has a theme and everything will roll from that.
Note: it's more appropriate to call it a motif but that's too sophisticated for the Rockhouse. We don't need too much truck with sophistication. We also didn't see any singular difference in meaning so theme works just fine but motif sounds cooler.
