Opera, Blue Divas and Rabbits

Unclear why people find it amusing that they know nothing more of opera than they got from Bugs Bunny cartoons.

They need a remedial course of "Pretty Woman" ...

or maybe a remedial course of "The Fifth Element" as the operatic lead in that one by the Diva was knocking off, in a novel way, Mozart's "Queen of the Night."

I have never known much about opera but I accumulate as I go along.  This provincialism about opera is saddening as it's all music, some you like and some you don't, and you'll never know if you don't listen.

Yah, and a remedial course of "Amadeus" for the scene in which he debuts the Queen. The portrayal is masterful and the music magnificent, right there on the night of its debut.  Even when Mozart is near death, he creates one of the most stunning operatic solos ever.

Note:  there was some dodgy background research I did at one time to determine if Salieri was the evil bastard portrayed in the movie but I didn't see much supporting it.  The search was dodgy and your results may differ.
