The NAZI Super Cows - Today's Excellence in Journalism Award

This headline is hot, it's sexy ... and it's got NAZIs.  Well ...

Nazi super cows: British farmer forced to destroy half his murderous herd of bio-engineered Heck cows after they try to kill staff    (The Independent)

NAZI cows?

Nope, they were bred by two brothers who ran zoos in Germany (Berlin and Munich).  I don't think any of those animals became NAZIs except Hitler's High Command.

Murderous herd?

Nope.  They never killed anyone.

Bio-Engineered?

Nope.  They were was no bio-engineering in the 20's and 30's.  There was only the traditional Mendelian genetics.  Unless you consider Luther Burbank a NAZI, there was nothing sordid about what they did.  (Wiki:  Luther Burbank - 'Inventor' of the Shasta Daisy among many other agricultural achievements)

Try to kill staff?

When all the rest of it is bunk, good chance this is as well.

Heck cows?

Yep, they got that part right.

As to NAZIs doing it.  They really don't have much bearing on it as breeding of Heck cattle continues today with published criticism they aren't even close to aurochs and only resemble some features of the extinct beast.  (Wiki:  Heck Cattle)

This kind of crackwhore journalism is becoming so pervasive that news media have almost no value. Maybe you've seen the new CNN layout that looks like something out of a child's picture book with headlines suitable for declaration of war.  Fox News kills them in ratings so maybe they are admitting defeat.  Now they will just merge with People magazine and be done with the charade.

(Ed:  Um, Christmas?)

Sure!  Here's some farmer trying to make controversy out of a cow and he did it.  You can't buy material like this!
