Where to Find Mainstream News Now that CNN has Suicided

CNN had been the US standard for news as it was still slanted but it wasn't as obviously biased as Fox and not as bland and useless as the others.  In the last week, CNN has changed its format to screen-size pics and headlines large enough to suit a landing of space aliens.  CNN was once the ranking force in world news and now ... well ... it's a bit of an embarrassment, isn't it.

Fox News tells us Santa Claus is white and that's about all we need to know from them.

Russia Today is routinely vilified as propaganda but all news is propaganda, it's just a question of how obvious and to what purpose.  From my own observation, I've seen rather less bias from them than I've seen anywhere else.

The Guardian is reasonably ok but still has a tendency toward crap stories (e.g. Jessica Valenti and other puffballs).

What I expect to find is a review of the US sanctions against Russia and the global effects of them (e.g. the exchange rate is great on the Euro right now but it's not because the dollar went up, the Euro went down).  Similarly, Saudi Arabia is flooding oil onto the market to break the profit in American fracking.  The global effects of these international girly war games they play are substantial and immediate as you see it every time you put fuel in your vehicle and ask what the hell game are these people playing.

If there were any real news, there would be an answer to that ... if there were any real news.

There's no need to offer opinions on what you think it means as my premise is only that a matter of global importance should be getting high priority in coverage but instead the focus is on sensationalistic tripe.
