Guitar in Lasers and Smoke w/Sony Action Cam (video)

(Video no longer exists)

I played anyway.  The strings had not been played before and by the end of it some stretched.  This is the closest view I can give you of this world.  It's not the best one as this is the first test.  For the Magnum Opus, there will be a second camera to switch between audience view and guitarist view.

The video will go through eight laser configurations during the course of it so hang with it and it will change.

There are some unusual views as the lasers on my fingers look kind of demonic and you can clearly see the laser trails.  The smoke dissipates faster than I'd like but I don't want to put the machine on auto because it makes a hurricane sound when it shoots smoke.

The camera is a Sony HDR AS20B.  The video is unmodified although it is heavily compressed for YouTube and there are artifacts from that.  The audio was EQ'd a little to reduce the fan noise from the lasers.  It's also compressed a little and there's a touch of reverb.  What you may notice is the mikes are sensitive enough to catch the pick noise from plucking the strings.  That they hear that over the sound of the speakers is impressive.

As to the music, usually they call that noodling.
