A News function has been added to the Valerie Fraser, Artist site as this will provide a mechanism for writing brief notes that don't warrant a full-scale blog article somewhere. The blog does not exist yet but it is planned. It's not my call on when that happens, I'll just a note to put a link to it on the site. That's fine ... that's what I do.
So the News is for notes ... for artists ... who hate to write notes. If you have seen Alec Guinness in "The Horse's Mouth' then you know some hate talking. This was Brit comedy before Monty Python and they weren't the only genius comedians to come out of England.

Banter such as you see here won't do on the Artist site as it's not a blog, it's more like Sticky notes. When there is an actual Blogger or Wordpress blog then it will be linked from the site ... but ... artists would usually rather be painting rather than writing.
The news for you is that this will eliminate the need to post detail updates about changes to the site as a Visitor can now much more easily discover that information through the News page on the site.
