Here's a screen shot of the Admin bit I've been putting together. It bugged me that there would inevitably be difficulty dealing with uploading more image files and that means the need for doing webbish things which would intrigue an artist about as much eating spiders. So here's what is potentially my solution for it.
The Image Uploader let's you pick a file from your home disk and then you click Upload to get it into the special folder on the site.
The page will refresh itself after that happens and that's what we see now as Monkey.jpg uploaded ok and is ready to move. To verify it first, click the link and that will show you what it looks like. It's worth that step as sometimes an image gets corrupted on upload.
If that looks good then click the Move button and the image will be stored in the Images file where it immediately because available for the slide show.
Pending is to add a third step in which information about the new piece is entered. Click Go on that one and it will edit the picture data file to write the name, dimensions, media, etc.
All done.
Prior to opening access to it to admins (i.e. Valerie and Lotho), I'll continue busting on it to see if I can make it get sick or do unusual things. Right now I'm satisfied with the security as I had it locked so tight for quite some time that I couldn't get into it either. I'll research further but I'm satisfied it is sufficiently difficult to penetrate that it's not a consideration to leave it online for further development.
