The Valerie Fraser, Abstract in Oil site has been expanded to include a partial-translation to Russian. The translation implemented thus far is based on Google Translate ... but ... Valerie has a twin sister, Christina, and what do you know, she's scary smart too and has a reading knowledge of Russian, possibly even to write.
Oh, you think you can take 'em, huh, cowboy. Well then, maybe we should review their non-academic education and this includes full-training in martial arts. So, the question, punk, is do you feel lucky. They don't need guns; they can turn you into chicken-fried steak with their bare hands.
Kee-ya!
Oh, you still think you're tough. Well, perhaps I should also remind you it was their ol' Dad who got them started and he also is fully-trained, just as is their larger brother, and their tiny li'l Mother ... who just happens to have won a world championship competition in her class in karate in Australia. (She's not Australian, she just goes there to put some whoop ass on those Foster's boys sometimes.)
Pro tip: don't screw with them. Ever.
So, the translations continue. I intend next to do Spanish as I'm hoping Christina can wrap the Russian translation. Spanish I suspect I can fumble together myself plus it would be very easy to get validation that it's a good translation.
I'm more of a perfectionist than you probably want to ever have to handle in your life as I did not like how 'privat' sounds in German as it's kind of harsh. The object is to let people know they should contact Valerie privately for more information. There was a conversation on this as I was thinking 'vertraulich' might be ok and but sounds a bit like secret agent privacy. Then my friend said 'persönlich' is the answer as it's private and personal but it's nothing to do with spies and creeps.
The way I figure it, the more I screw around with this, the less Valerie has to do it so I am having one major field day on the project. I haven't programmed anything in a long time and it's not that I miss it but there is still a big bang out of making something that wasn't there before, particularly when it's making something for my niece.
At the bottom of all of this: don't just think global, do it!
