The recent episode with the Bandidos and miscellaneous other biker gangs here in Texas has got cops screaming about the danger of what happened, even though what they say happened doesn't match what is recorded on surveillance video. It hardly ever does.
Now they say the Bandidos are stockpiling everything from machine guns to C4 and this I suppose they think looks like anything but a transparent basis for justifying the use of Predator drones to attack them from the sky. They just killed a couple of children with one yesterday so, what the hell, let's use them internally to control those biker terrorists.
If there's any greater threat to freedom in the United States beyond the hugely-militarized police force, it has not yet been revealed. The greatest threat to freedom outside the U.S. is the same thing as there are Pentagon people who dream up the Death List and you have no control over this, you don't why any particular individual is selected, and there's nothing you can do to stop the killing even though there is no clear justification for any of it. We're at war, they say. With what? The only thing I see them fighting is freedom.
America is based on a system of checks and balances and that is the greatest gift to the world of the Forefathers. That is absolutely crushed and stomped into the ground by every single thing the Executive branch and the Pentagon plans. You are never advised, you are never consulted, and listen to the ticking as they come for you.
The military was never part of the checks and balances as they had historically been loyal to the government and were dispatched based on the order of Congress and the approval of the Presidency. Now they only respond to GOP orders and they've become a contract hit squad with little differentiating them from the Blackhawk mercs.
The GOP is specifically responsible for undermining control of the Pentagon and they whine about abuses of Presidential executive orders ... but they're the ones who invented that process and it has been abused by them for decades.
Note: the abuse of Presidential executive orders goes back longer than that but other aspects are not germane except in terms of philosophy relative to the events of the last 35-45 years. In that time, it's been an endless stream of right-wing Crusades, usually against Muslims, and all of which are designed for but typically fail to control behavior in other countries.
