Look for which computer is being used by the good guys in any Hollywood movie and it will almost invariably be an Apple. If you see Windows machines for anything, it will be usually be by the ones who will end up losing. Movies are riddled with 'placement advertising' of that nature so it's probably safe to say Apple is paying some serious money for that because, any time you see a brand-name for anything in a movie, someone almost invariably paid for that particular brand to be there.
The political aspect of Hollywood isn't such a good reason for the GOP hating Hollywood as they got their One True God in Ronald Reagan. Lately Chuck Norris speaks every so often but he's the kind of right-wing guy you hope you meet while he rides a horse as the animal will be considerably better-spoken than he. The same is true for a good many conservative actors, they're so stupid the GOP would be better off without them.
It's an odd thing as the really good actors have exceptional minds. If you don't believe that, just try doing what they do. It's rather more than having Tom Cruise teeth whose sparkling distracts astronomers. These are smart people ... well ... except for Chuck Norris. van Damme even makes Norris look like a wizard as he's been a potato skull since the day he was born. The GOP doesn't do so well in Hollywood these days. They may get support but never from the top rank.
Windows machines are conservative computers as the dullards stuck to them long after their usefulness was gone. The smart conservatives (i.e. rare) shifted to Apple but check out any corporate structure and you will see relatively little Apple presence. As far as I can tell, the only thing Windows machines do really well is in gaming but that's a loser as too many other devices are better at it.
So, there's yer answer. The faster Windows dies, the more the GOP hates Hollywood as they see Apple in any movie they may choose to watch unless it's another in the endless series of Disney movies which all look the same. If whomever drew Fantasia is still alive, that person must cry himself to sleep every night at the computer-assisted crap passed off as animation.
Yep, so it's not the liberal actors the GOP hates ... it's the Apple computers.
Note: I've never heard of a Windows machine being used to edit a first-run Hollywood movie but I've heard of it multiple times with Final Cut Pro.
