Zero Hardware Defects Discovered in iMac Failing Under Yosemite 10.10.3

The late-2013 iMac is returned from the Apple Store where the extended desk hardware diagnostics at the Genius Bar were run and the results all showed green.  I requested yesterday they take it to the backroom for the deepest diagnostics.  Again the results were all green.

While the current position is less than optimal, it proceeds apace.  The iMac is running again and now we have excellent surety hardware has not been causing the problems.

Therefore, nothing has been installed on the system beyond the base Yosemite 10.10.3 software.  It's permissible within the scope of my testing to use Safari because it's Apple software but there are no extensions running under it.  This box is stock.

Now we wait.  I'll not continue with apologies about the time this takes as there is no other way to do it and be sure.  Therefore, the iMac will be left to its own devious devices until tomorrow morning and we shall see if it rolls over dead.  That's the worst outcome and it's possible but not likely as that would have been sorted in Quality Assurance.

So, the Wagon Train proceeds.  Too bad no-one remembers Ward Bond.

There was one tragic aspect to this as a quite becoming young lady at Apple asked me if she could help me (i.e. carry the computer for me).  I still have enough dudeness to tell her no thanks but, whew, how did this happen, huh?

It's not a serious question.  Carry on, carry on.
