"Piss Christ" for Pamela Geller

"Piss Christ" is a famous photograph by Andres Serrano that depicts a crucifix in what is said to be the artist's urine.  As a result of showings of the photograph in America, 'he received death threats and hate mail, and he lost grants due to the controversy.'  Perhaps this reaction sounds familiar.  (WIKI: Piss Christ - Note: the photograph is included in the WIKI discussion)

The image is deeply-offensive, provocative, etc and elicits a passionate reaction.  As we've seen, it's not necessarily a good one.  The image won't be presented here as the thought is sufficiently provocative and it's not my purpose to stir anyone's rage.  If you're interested then you can find the image on the WIKI link but that's your choice.

There's some brutal accuracy to the image relative to what Christ did and now flying drone bombers about the place.  For my own taste, that kind of brutality is not necessary to state something that's already obvious.

Thou shalt not kill.  Obey it or don't use the book as a reference.  People may not accept that but it's not overtly offensive beyond the statement.  In my view, the image is raging overkill to say essentially the same thing and it's like taking a NASCAR vehicle to a Formula 1 race and smashing all the formula cars in the first turn because you outweigh them.

Final review:  tasteless piece of crap that's as subtle as a pink Cadillac in Manhattan

In any case, how about a pic of Pamela Geller with an image of "Piss Christ" to show us she isn't a complete fraud and a hypocrite.

(I was surprised as I had thought Robert Mapplethorpe shot it.  He had a penchant for enraging the public over homo-erotic photography.)
