The Hundred Word Stories Podcast

Laurence Simon has been writing one-hundred word stories each day for quite some time and he has resolved to write one a day until he dies.  You can follow this on the Hundred Word Stories Podcast.

The twist today is that he is challenging you to write one as well.  It's only one hundred words so that should be easy, right.  Don't you believe that as it takes a lot of discipline to write one.  Check out his podcast and you will find what I mean.

There are plenty of obvious reasons for the plug but what you may not know is that he is one of the most dedicated supporters of Second Life music one could ever meet.  That, too, he has been doing for years.  Also, his sister is Beth-Odets Brown on Facebook and up north they would say she plays a violin and down in Texas they would most likely say she plays a fiddle.  One thing I know for sure is that she has one of the coolest-looking violin-fiddles you will ever see.

He is also a highly-dedicated follower of poetry in Second Life and it was very cool to see him at the reading last night.  It's not that he showed up specially for my reading as he goes to many of them.  He knows well the way of poetry and he got quite hammered with one of the poets a few nights ago and spent much of the next day studying the poetry of an advanced hangover.  Must have been quite a party!

Crap Mariner, a most interesting individual!
