Chamomile in the Garden

There are hundreds or maybe thousands of small, daisy-like flowers in the yard outside and they make quite a gorgeous display:

Tonight I discovered what these little flowers are:  chamomile!  More than likely you know of the health-giving properties of chamomile but here is the WIKI link to Matricara chamomilla in case you don't.

It's extraordinary what grows here, everything from avocados to bananas to a healthy grass that you can eat after simply pulling it out of the ground.  And all of these things are in Harry's yard and who knows what else is growing around here!

Harry gave me tonight some olive oil made from the olive trees in the yard here and he said it is organic and it is fragile, don't use it for frying!  The reason is that high heat will burn out the goodness of it and it is must better to use it for bread with tomato and simple things like that.  You may scoff at such a meal but it is lovely.  I have no interest in converting you or I to vegetarianism, I mention it because it is a lovely alternative to an eggs and bacon breakfast.  It is considerably more healthful as well!  Greeks take healthy eating very seriously and that's not at all a bad lesson to learn.
