This is one of the most exquisitely-beautiful love scenes ever set to film or print and with music and lyrics that sing the joy of first love perhaps more beautifully than it has ever been sung before.
"What is a Youth" lyrics by Eugene Walter. Music by Nina Rota and sung by him as well. It was later modified to become "A Time for Us" but rejecting the original lyrics makes little sense given that the music is identical.
