Happy Birthday to Lotho

Because everyone always forgets ... but I still screwed it up as it was yesterday.

In case there's any offense over "Piltdown Jesus," unknown if you're aware but the Piltdown Man was probably the most famous hoax in archaeology / anthropology as he was a complete fake but he stood as science possibly even for decades.  Brits also came up with crop circles.  You've got to watch out for those characters.

A Jewish scientist in Jerusalem claims to have found an ossuary containing Jesus' bones.  Jews have the same view as Muslims, that Jesus was a prophet but he wasn't God, so finding his bones is of scientific interest but has the unfortunate side effect of shooting a major hole in the New Testament.

The ossuary has text which identifies it as containing the bones of Jesus but other scholars have evaluated it and announced the text was a forgery.

My own view is that it's fake.  Just as God didn't want anything left behind that could be turned into an idol, the Romans didn't want him idolized either.  The probability of him getting respectful treatment in death from the Romans or that they would have permitted it just isn't credible.  The Romans let them take him down but that hardly indicates they got all soft and mushy about him right after killing him.

So your birthday present is an inevitable parade of new stories about how Jesus married Mary and raised a little family.  Maybe they will have triplets this time and call them Huey, Dewey and Louie.
