CleanMyMac2 the Proposed Culprit for OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

ClearMyMac2 is a piece of software said to improve memory management.  I must have tried it sometime years ago as I don't recall reviewing it.  Nevertheless, traces remain in the system and it's impossible to remove it.

Other shoot-on-sight software for Macs includes Memory Cleaner and MacKeeper.  Don't EVER use this software on your machine as you will poison it and the software is impossible to remove.

The resolution appears to be to install a virgin copy of Yosemite and then individually install all of my products.  That aspect isn't the worst as this will forget all of the stream URLs for broadcasting, etc.

(Ed:  isn't this how Windows people fix their computers?)

Yah.  That should give you some idea of how livid I am over this.

Note:  when Apple knows or strongly suspects these programs are poison, why would they not add code to the Setup Assistant so they do not get carried forward in a system migration to another computer.

Shallow.  This is not Steve Jobs Apple anymore.  Jobs made computers whereas Cook makes toys.
