The Strongest Republican Candidate is Still Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton isn't even close to being a Democrat.  She doesn't believe in equal marriage rights.  She doesn't believe in legalizing reefer.  She will sell out US workers with foreign trade deals just as quickly as Bill Clinton when he signed NAFTA.  She made weapons deals with Pakistan while she was Secretary of State.  Maybe in some Universe that makes her a Democrat but not this one.

There's nothing unusual in the Democratic Party changing as it happens every one hundred to one hundred and fifty years after which the parties may, in effect, switch places.  Hippie Democrats (i.e. peace, love and understanding) are exceedingly rare now but dominated the country when it was necessary to stop the insanity of Vietnam.

The Republican Party stabbed itself with Ronald Reagan, particularly by calling him some kind of demi-god, and then the final GOP death came with George Bush as no political party on the planet can survive that kind of incompetence.

Reagan was a false god and Republicans who know the history and the platform of the GOP are fully aware of it.  He used sophomoric techniques for an illusory boost to America, first by the Chapter One economy booster used by everyone from Hitler to Barney Fife:  spend a ton on US-built weapons and make the economy sing ... until it burns.  Secondly he destroyed the ability to recover from what he spent by reducing the tax rate on the rich.  America never recovered from it.

Bush was just an imitation of Reagan and an exceptionally poor one.  He's like the guy who plays cover songs and you know all the songs he sings and can plainly hear he just can't hit the high notes.

There are loads of Tea Party conservatives dancing around in some Louisiana GOP Voodoo dance but you can plainly see none of them have any idea of the material and they only say the same things over and over and over.  This will never be a real political party, it isn't one now.  It's an amazement with any of them that they can find their way to their jobs, assuming they have jobs.

Actually, the final death of the GOP was Obama as he became more of a Republican than they are and that left Boehner nowhere to go except to get imaginative or get stupid.  He didn't exactly choose wisely and has, ever since, said no to every single thing that landed in front of him.

Now there has evolved the right-wing extremist contingent and these are complete wingnuts.  You have already heard them as they are dead serious that Islam must be destroyed to save the planet.  They keep Stalin alive in the same way as Saturday Night Live did it with Francisco Franco and, yes, he's still dead.  So these ones can continue on their path to grey uniforms and move to Idaho as no-one on the planet cares what happens in Idaho.

Presumably, the Green Party eventually strengthens with disenfranchised Democrats of whom there is one hell of a large cadre after the last eight years.  Clinton gave a hint of the Democrat conversion but Obama made it final and Clinton (i.e. the beboobed one) has finished it by making no dispute of her position.  Real Democrats have no candidate but neither do real Republicans.  It's an odd situation as the political parties walked away from each contingent and now a whole lot of people are scratching their heads going, man, is there any man jack in Washington who has an idea of what is happening.

The answer is yes and that man jack is Hillary Clinton.  Ain't that a kick in the head.  I don't like what she's doing and I loathe a poll-based President just on general principles but it makes sense when your purpose is political rather than progressive.

I wouldn't dispute a word as I'm definitely not a fan of either Clinton. I think she wins by a boob, tho, as this is the weakest field of candidates I've ever seen. Warren and Sanders turned into Facebook heroes ... which is great until you expect them to do something.
