All cameras are charged, memories purged, etc so all are set to record at least an hour before running out of juice. Nothing much else happened and the focus has been coming to this evening to shoot it.
The way it works is Silas on guitar, Silas on keys, Silas on bass, Silas on the mike and there will be a video track recorded for each one. That means doing the fifteen-minute song four times to get all tracks. Oh, feel my pain. It doesn't have to be loud but it needs to be there to sync each track with the others. The pantomime won't be glorified air guitar to fake anyone out but it does need to have relevance to what is actually being played or it might as well be pratfalls and elephant jokes.
Where this gets obsessive (maybe) is the song clearly has two guitar players and maybe not so clearly two keyboard players. Whether it's worth shooting two more tracks to add them is ... thinking about it.
With that in-hand, all of those images will be made semi-transparent to overlay each other and put the whole 'band' on-stage at once.
Oh, and with lasers and smoke. This needs lasers and smoke. This could look just rippin' insane but it will take a devil of a time to render. That will be a good time for sleep, I suspect.
I was promising the new used computer would make a significant change in video and this one should deliver on it. I'm thinking my visualization is accurate enough to take a whack at really doing it. So that should happen tonight.
