"Caged in the City" (poem)

Do things go quiet
when you turn off the sound
or can you still feel the music
somewhere around.

Is it in you every moment
and there's nothing you can do
but what should I say,
except so good for you.

Now every car horn is symphonic
They're all part of the play
You may laugh at John Cage
until you hear his way

It's all about the music
and the music never stops
there is no such thing as silence
even when the curtain drops.

What metaphor for life
than the music it makes
as what else tells a story
that no-one can mistake.
