Scotland Independence

A momentary bit of accuracy sneaks in to say my actual thinking is Scotland screws itself with independence.  Rather than solving the problem, it is multiplied as instead of a crooked government in London, they will grow their own crooked government.  Presto, now there are two crooked governments and you're still screwed.

The power of corporate bribery is unlimited as no-one (except Bernie Sanders) can resist what they offer.  In Washington and London, the question isn't whether there is any mechanism permitting bribery but rather how many different ways there are to do it (e.g. PAC, Super PAC, etc).

It makes no more sense for Scotland to declare independence than it does for Texas to do it as the State of Texas has made its loathing for Washington very clear but breaking away would be suicide.  The idea of an independent Texas is ludicrous as it's already occupied by the U.S. military.  Maybe Farmer Jones and his militia think they can do something about that with their assault rifles but they'd get smoked by drones before they even got out of their pick-up trucks.

This a brief burst of accuracy and it won't last long.  Although I mock Cameron, the United Kingdom is more important than some chump with an over-inflated opinion of himself.  The problem to solve is corruption and I do not believe an independent Scotland will solve it or, at least, not for long.

Both countries need a political Serpico to root out the crooked politicians on the take but I don't see one on either side.
