The Tale of the Megarian Banded Centipede

Yep, a Megarian Banded Centipede, Scolopendra cingulata, is every bug nightmare you ever had!  The only thing they don't have is acid dripping from their fangs but if they did then maybe Sigourney Weaver is somewhere nearby so that could be pretty cool.

Are you feeling some bug love!

These nasty little sumbitches get up to a foot long.  They're fast.  They're aggressive.  They bite.  They are poisonous but it's not lethal, just hurts like hell.  And, the beauty part, they like places we like as in warm and dry.  Like maybe a bed.

And that suitably introduces one guy's tale:  Something Nasty This Way Comes.  In the story he mentions a video on YouTube in which one of these damned centipedes eats ... a mouse!  A bug that eats mammals!  The author recommends you don't watch the video.  I didn't but if your demented soul calls for this vision, he will provide it.

Update:

If you made it this far then let's see if you can hack it with Scolopendra gigantea, the Amazonian Giant Centipede (laughs).  Tip before you look:  it eats birds and even bats!  You do NOT want to screw around with one of these bad boys but, yes, there are some whackjobs who keep them as pets.
