Joaquin Gustav came back last night to play on Healing Friday at Cat's Art MusikCircus. Healing Friday isn't about being sick but rather his music is so gentle and delicate that it carries you away from anything that will weaken your spirit.
Joaquin always dresses with great style and it's all part of showing respect. He is a classic Argentinian gentleman and he brings that same style to his music. He really is a gentle man and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be violating a confidence to tell you Cat couldn't sleep and was online to Second Life at an unusual time. Joaquin saw this and talked to her. He came to play a lullaby for her privately. He wasn't trying to hit on her but rather he wanted to help soothe her spirit. As I say, he is an Argentinian gentleman.
While Joaquin plays some beautiful covers of pop songs, my feeling is that one his greatest strengths is in his tangos, in part because he plays them so well and also because no-one else does them. He always brings such a delicacy to his play that it's highly romantic and transporting. Couples inevitably dance while he plays. He fills the air with love and it really is a Healing Friday.
Voodoo Shilton couldn't be there last night as he was in Maryland for the Second Life Mid-Atlantic Jam. These kinds of events are getting more and more popular as Second Life musicians come out of their home studios to play live with each other.
Here's an introduction for brittanyleigh as she spent her first day in Second Life at Cat's Art MusikCircus and she came back again last night!
She is quite young so I'm glad to see she discovered Second Life music at the Circus as she would probably have run for her life if she had found herself at one of the endless number of nostalgia shows. The MusikCircus doesn't do nostalgia as there is so much happening right now!
And Cat and I danced!
If you're not familiar with Second Life then this is a What the Hell kind of picture! Cat is not any kind of a housecat, rather she is a Tigress and who moves more beautifully than tigers anyway.
Yesterday you saw a wild hat Cat was wearing and she got me one after the show. It's not only a hat as you can push a button on it and the hat plays Jimi Hendrix doing "Purple Haze!" Thank you, Baby! XOXOX
