The return of Reis and Aldo was highly-anticipated as they perform one of the most creative sets in Second Life and there is great emotional drama to what they play. Keep in mind that melodrama is often confused for drama and the former is who-did-what-to-whom backbiting that is all over social networks. Drama is an excellent thing whereas melodrama is something that will only make your toes itch.
Michi Renoir opened the show last night at Cat's Art MusikCircus and his lady, Janeel Kharg, was there. This was quite a good thing as her Mac had turned into a politician (i.e. it made odd noises but wouldn't do anything). She got a new one a few days ago and now everything is good again.
Michi plays some quite exotic leads on his synthesizer but there wasn't much drama in it. The week before he had a huge fire underneath him and he played a quite exciting set but this one leaned to the romantic and that didn't go so well. I kept trying to incite him to 'blow stuff up' but it wasn't the night for it. There's still coolness in it as he will play whatever he wants and he doesn't repeat his sets but I couldn't recommend more strongly to punch it up!
It may be that Michi was feeling all mushy because Janeel was back and he wanted to send her some love. Here she is dancing for him in a new clown outfit that was perfect for the circus:
Getting mushy for your lady from the stage is a charming thing and why not! I still recommend that he pump it up, tho!
And Cat and I danced:
Cat was wearing a marvelous outfit, all ready for more of Carnival!
The Return of Reis and Aldo was anticipated for last week but Reis wasn't feeling well and couldn't sing. This time she was doing just fine and the two of them took off!
It was fantastic as Reis' voice along with Aldo's synth and huge percussion is a very exciting set. Reis' voice has ethereal magic and you would never think that would match with the power of Aldo's compositions but they make a marvelous music together.
Reis and Aldo bring Carnival to the circus every time they play and Cat was already dressed for it. Medora Chevalier switched to a Carnival / Mardi Gras outfit as well so I decided it was time for a Mayan god to appear:
That's Medora behind us and my outfit was just a wee bit overpowering but, hey, what is a Mayan god to do! If you're not impressing mortals with your outfit, you're not being much of a god! However, unless you're a bird, you should never dress with more flash than your lady but Cat said it was ok (laughs).

Fortunately I love Michi in all his moods, romantic or wild or crazy. For me there is only good or bad music, the style is immaterial. And to me all his music is good.
