The original "Cat's Symphony" ends the loop on C minor and not F minor. That was a stupid error previously as it starts with it not ends with it. That means going to "The Space Between Things" which now starts on F minor is smooth as buttah and that's in the looper now. How the segue goes is questionable as I really don't need one doing it this way.
That was a big variable as do the parts really fit or do they just seem like they would.
So, yes. They fit fine and feel good.
Words were supposed to just jump into place but that did not happen. That's not a big concern as the focus was on whether one lead line flows into the other without sounding like trickery.
After I was playing with it a bit, I started thinking of whether I will want to go back from The Space Between Things into Cat's Symphony as I can do it but is there a reason.
There probably is not as The Dream was already stated so there isn't purpose in repeating except to try to make a hook out of it.
The next option is does it need anything else. The third phrase on the existing patch has to stay reserved for a segue between the Symphony and the Space but there's a way to get more phrases.
If you stop the current patch, you've got a four-count to bump up to the next patch and come in on 1 with its first phrase. That's awkward in execution but it's musically valid as the audience will never even know if you do it if you don't miss the beat.
That's probably extreme-o tech as the schematic doesn't lead to the vibe I want. The flow now is dream -> love -> the trip
Yah, it finishes with the trip as that's the 'edge of the observable Universe,' we don't know what is beyond that and ideally it goes on forever.
Definitely the Final Answer so the focus will be on existing bits and don't get clever with it.
There additional question is visual as pre-recorded loops have zero sex appeal. For video, we want to see those other instruments do something besides sitting there with blinking LEDs.
I would like to use the pre-recorded loops but I'm thinking that robs you of the build. Or maybe you don't want to wait five minutes or so as I set the stage. Maybe the build is a bore. It's a tough call.
Cadillac Man said last night I'm talented but I'm not. What I am is fire-engine determined.
