Dylan Thomas Goes to France and Passes Out in a Gutter

Some French guy did fifty-six shots of whisky in quick succession as part of a dying contest in a bar and he won it:  he's now dead.  (Yahoo: Frenchman dies after downing 56 shots)

The guy is not responsible,  the bartender is not responsible, alcohol is not responsible.  Don't smoke reefer or you will go crazy (cough).

Dylan Thomas is often quoted for this little ditty:

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Nice ditty.  Too bad it's complete crap.  Dylan Thomas' last words were, "I drank eighteen shots in a row.  I think that's a record."

Then he passed out and modern medicine did the rest (i.e. killed him).

Nice raging, Dylan, ya drunken fuck.

So, drink up, drink up.  Just keep on making that sense.  Drink up, drink up.
