The last week was brutal for Yevette so we get that and now it seems some relief is coming. When she asks for some ice cream, I'm smilin' because she couldn't eat much of anything for quite a while now.
It's 87F out there today but there's no air conditioning running and, also for the first time in some while, Yevette wasn't feeling cold. This time in May is the best time for Texas before it turns up the furnaces as the Summer builds. Right now a nice breeze flows through and it's quite pleasant.
For the first time it came up about how the post-treatment scene works out and that's another Sign. Post-treatment? That's when it's over, right?
Yevette owns this now. Three more days? Yep, I can do this, she says although not in exactly those words. I can feel it from her when she says it that she definitely means it.
The vibe shifts from single focus endurance to a whole different world of light. We're well aware nothing is ever a sure bet but there's been no reason to make it any more complicated than that and this includes Yevette's talk with one of her doctors today.
There are no deep details in this about why the time was so brutal except to say the chemo does that. I don't believe there's anything helpful in going into that due to the necessarily graphic nature which would be mortifying to Yevette. The first reason I think that part has no value is your situation won't be similar unless you have the same type of cancer.
The chemo brings it the worst and, as the Caregiver, you need to know that. Bring your best stuff for that part.
The damn pussy hats never got here and it may even be two weeks yet since they're coming from China. I think there was an old-timey song about a slow boat to China but these jokers must be using the slowest boat from China. They must have put the hats on a damn cruise ship which is just now up around Alaska watching glaciers calve (which Lotho reports looks highly cool).
The sky is definitely getting lighter now. It's coming.
