CIA Declassifies Inspector General Report

"Concerning certain issues, the team concluded that the (CIA) and its officers did not discharge their responsibilities in a satisfactory manner"  (CNN:  CIA declassifies inspector general's report on 9/11 shortcomings)

The above is a spectacular statement of the blindingly obvious but it's contained in the Inspector General report regarding the handling of 9/11.  (Link to full text of the report)

Note:   The report is still largely crap because much of the section regarding Saudi Arabia is redacted.

Why they protect the biggest source of terrorists and terrorist funding (i.e. Saudi Arabia) in the world remains inexplicable.

The report is specific to CIA / NSA incompetence and does not include the failure of John Ashcroft to respond to reports from FBI field agents regarding unusual behavior at commercial jet flight schools.

The article doesn't look like much more than an excuse to run video of the aircraft crashing into the buildings again ... and they did.  That's CNN ... always staying classy.
