None of the software previously installed on the system could possibly have been the cause of the original problem as the crashes would take place even after all of it had been removed. Therefore, put it back.
GarageBand and Final Cut 10.2 are central to just about everything in the Rockhouse universe and those installations will be completed shortly.
Most of the original hardware has been re-connected and no problems to report.
Performance is spectacular, particularly after another two months slogging along on the laptop.
It's looking more and more like a real system and the only way it's going to start crashing again to go back into the original nightmare is if all the gods of Olympus hate me. If they're Republicans, that's entirely possible but the idea of any god anywhere being of that persuasion is, in my view, laughable.
And, yah, it's not Zeus as in 'zoose' but rather it's 'zee-uss' and do believe Greeks will correct you if his name is mispronounced. Of course they will ... he lives there.
