There's now a series of eight scenes in light patches with an evolving set of fixtures as the number goes up. No. 1 is a single LED to light up the guitar guy from the front. No. 2 to No. 6 are varying combinations of lasers. No.7 and No. 8 are all lasers plus varying combinations of moonflowers.
It's unbelievable. Even not playing, just sitting watching it is hypnotic.
I hate the computers but, man, I do love what they do.
In normal light this looks like a room in which hardly anything belongs there and all of it knows there's no place else it can go.
But then I flip the switch on the lights and it's a whole other world. This isn't escape but rather what you make it and this is what I choose. I so much want to share it with you but this is very difficult photography. Think of how much it asks of the camera to throw radically-different light levels at intervals of fractions of seconds.
The smoke blows out of here quickly and I'm not sure why.
Fireplace!
Of course!!!!
It looks like there's another project but not a big one. I just need to hang a sheet or something over it. I'm not going to try screwing around with the flue.
(Ed: so when is there video?)
Should be soon now. I need to find some way to position the light controller where I can swat it easily while I play and where it won't take a dive from being swatted. I'm ready to try it right now as the reason for a break is to find an answer for that as I want to see it myself.
There's very little dark left and I need to see and hear this work. Time for another experiment.
