Blog Changes and the FER (Facebook Exclusionary Rule)

There is nothing changed within the blog but how it is handled externally has changed quite a bit.

Changes to Automatic Notices:

Notice of blog updates will go to Twitter but will not be subsequently propagated to Facebook.

Notice of video updates will go to Twitter from YouTube.

No video update notice of any kind will be sent to Facebook.

In large part this is to protect myself from phony 'likes' as this tells you someone liked something but after reviewing it a bit I discovered people doing it don't even read what's behind whatever they liked.  The reason for the like is they will be notified if anyone else posts and then they can come into the conversation to add something vapid.

So the change is made.  I'm quite capable of mocking myself without amateurish assistance from Facebook.

In many respects the people on Facebook are what's wrong with America.  Many of you like to think I am but you all would still be living by pulling out wichetee grubs out of the ground for dinner if not for dissenters.  All the while, the conservatives would scream, "Eating kangaroo is an offense against the Great Spirit."

There are nine hundred million meat puppets in Facebook and most of them are bereft of even the inductive reasoning capability of unicellular organisms.  These are the ones Fox News or CNN can play at will as they're human tumbleweeds, completely lost, no direction, and no particular hope.  All they want is to play these pseudo-debate games as they have absolutely nothing to do.

Tell them anything you like and they will believe it.  Best of all, they control the next election.  Given the way those bozos go, the next one in the White House could be Martha Stewart.

Even better, these are the ones who will eventually get it that George Clooney is being tarted up for a shot at the White House and it all it will take is the support of the queens of Facebook to do it.

So I cut off Facebook in much the same way as one quarantines an area of disease.  It affects anyone who goes near it so your best answer is ...
