Now You Can Buy the South Carolina Death House for $130,000

709 Michaelmas Ave,
Cayce, SC 29033

4 beds 3 baths 2,656 sqft

Check out this lovely bungalow, this Death House of lingering pain at Zillow:  709 Michaelmas Ave

Note:  people often forget Saint Michael, whose name is celebrated on Michaelmas, but we should ever hold dear Saint Michael, the Saint of Wily Coyotes.  Without him we never would have had all those great cartoons.

Ed:  what's so demonic about this place?

Ah, of course.  How silly of me to forget.

Upstairs apartment cannot be shown under any circumstances. Buyer assumes responsibility for the month-to-month tenancy in the upstairs apartment. Occupant has never paid, and no security deposit is being held, but there is a lease in place. (Yes, it does not make sense, please don't bother asking.)
...
Backyard cottage has gas heat, 563 sq.ft. of area including 2 rooms, bath and great room with kitchenette. All units have been used as rentals at some point.

Now are you seriously going to tell me there are no stiffs in that upstairs apartment?  Here at the Rockhouse, we're guessing that's where the owner put all the bodies.  It's like "Arsenic and Old Lace" except houses in the South often don't have basements so Teddy had to put the deaders upstairs.

Don't worry about the odor because you can do like the French before bathing came in vogue and carry a nosegay about with you everywhere.  You will smell like a dying rat but you will have style with those flowers.  Celebrate the beauty as it's ... tres magnifique ... but stinky as fuck.

Watson:  perhaps they rented the cottage in the back to people where they were killed and the bodies were taken to the upstairs apartment?

Watson, you may have cracked the case.  Congratulations.
