Any time there's a trip to Dallas in the day, I should keep in mind one thing: there won't be anything else in it.
I know I'm pissing people off in not showing up for things but it's not for laying off stoned. If I take more than a couple of toks, the buzz will be wasted on coughing. It ain't about being too hammered to track what's happening.
Nothing comes from going to Dallas as the big bang is coming back and finding the guitar is still here. I'm only a few miles from where the stuff was stolen and no-one ever did anything about it so whomever did it is still at it.
The biggest problem isn't for me but rather for Cat as what should she do. Screw it, you're defective. I'll find another one.
She ain't that way.
(Ed: they're all that way)
That's crap. I've only met a few like that. Those ones were five-star horrors but they weren't at all the standard.
So, likely no video tonight. I suppose I should try to take the attitude with myself that I took with my boys: slow down, it'll work better. It did too as the entire team was more effective from it. Pacing is the only answer as I'm damned if I'll turn out a crap-ass video.
There's also a blurb on Dylan Thomas as I want to think about that some more. I've further discovered he wrote 'do not go gentle' only a couple of years before he died. Thus he was one prime-time alcoholic blowout by then. Yet the words have immense power and have clearly objective truth ... but he was shit-faced when he wrote them. This presents a staggering conflict as my vision of the Necromancer is not some drunk-ass cowboy with a six-pack of Lone Star Beer.
Note: if you want to equate alcoholism and abuse of reefer, you'll just piss me off for lack of knowledge (i.e. yours). It's not that one is better than the other but they're unquestionably very different even if only insofar as alcoholics are trying to reduce awareness while potheads are trying to increase it. The chemical and psychological bases behind using these things only have passing resemblance.
