The Extraordinary Evolution of America's Cup Racing Yachts

The America's Cup yachts are the biggest, fastest, money is no object yachts it's possible for the nations of the world to build.  I have watched sometimes with the classic type of yacht racing with large monohulls and huge sails but it's been a while and they have changed so much.  The speeds they are achieving now are just astounding.

I'm no sailor but I do like to ride sometimes and this is a ride beyond imagination.  These ones lift up on hydrofoils and fly.

It's probably best not to know what they cost but watching them at play is a marvel.

Rumor has it that Ellison of Tram Oracle spent between $200 and 300 million to regain the cup. And is probably spending more with their alliance with Team Japan.
Not sure how that plays out once out of the challenger series.
But truly spectacular series. The cornering is very close to Formula 1 in appearance

I had no idea it had progressed so much and was astounded to see these flying boats, particularly when they're so enormous. Unsure when the racing begins but this looks it's worth watching.

Challenger series just ended
There is quite nice coverage considering it is not football or soccer

Looks like a Kiwi vs American finals starting Next week

I will have to try to find that since it must be one outstanding spectacle with nonstop action

The racing with these boats is much cooler at the start than the old mono hull boats as they are so nimble.
Well worth the search to find coverage
Luckily Comcast allows voice search so it is pretty easy to find

The cable here is the most basic of the basically basic covers so probability is low but I know it's a possibility and I have a good reason.

Wi-Fi will allow streaming of many mobile apps. I get most of my sports that way

Don't you need to get validation from a cable company or some such so they get paid when you use such apps??
