Whether anyone else would have covered the song better or worse is not useful information and is not the point.
Note: the song was abbreviated for the sake of the show so give it a gig for that if you like but it's still not the point.
"My Heart Will Go On" has deep personal significance for more than one of us and this goes far beyond any burning need to hear a weeper song. The song is probably the all-time best of the weepers but the significance goes beyond have a good cry and it's over.
My heart will go on as will yours. No matter what else happens, we know that much.
Even now I'm as clumsy as I was then since with hearts there's never just one.
