Burn the Church ... Or Joel Osteen in His House

The whorish nature of Joel Osteen is egregious and abundantly-obvious.  When you have a humble preacher living in a house like this, you've got someone who doesn't give a flying fuck about much of anything except his own luxury.  Maybe you have seen the movie, "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," and Joel Osteen's place is an example of 'the worst little whorehouse in Texas' ... it even looks like one.


However, there are multiple false points in the comment regarding that slime.

First, the meme tries to extend the excesses shown by Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, and other such parasites and use them as justification on taxation of the church in general.

Here on the Socialist Left, we categorically reject taxation of the church.  It's a fundamental violation of church and state and we do not accept 'In God We Trust' on the money but neither do we accept taxation which we view as the reverse of the same thing.  Either way, the state is involved where it does not belong.


Second, the meme blames Republicans for the travesty of Joel Osteen ... or something.  Maybe they just don't fucking like big houses but, either way the Republican Party did not do it.  In fact, the evangelicals who support this horror are the worst thing which ever happened to the Republican Party and you can see that in the Bible-thumping posers on the campaign trail.


How we're going to regulate the things Joel Osteen and that whole class of parasites is doing is an extremely difficult thing and not much different from managing hate speech insofar as doing anything at all has deep risk of stepping all over freedom of speech and one Constitutional violation after the other.

People would laugh if I tried to pass myself off as a Republican and my purpose is not defensive but rather it pisses me right off seeing this type of scatter bombing one cause or another for dramatic effect using points which are specious, questionable, or, technically speaking, utter bloody rubbish.
