The Officer Down Memorial Page is a tribute page to cops who died in the line of duty. The image conveyed is of cops heroically dying in the line of fire ... but it's not true. Many died from heart attacks, car crashes, etc. (ODMP: Honoring Officers Killed in 2015)
Right away the article is misleading because it gives the impression cops were killed by some assailant rather than eating too much pizza.
Updated to ensure it is clear these numbers apply to 2015 only.

- Officer Down Memorial Page
About a quarter of the number of the officers they report down got that way because of gunfire other than two more who shot themselves.
They say four cops were killed by a bomb but just exactly what bomb was that. It sure as hell didn't happen in America and, given that fact, they're soldiers and not cops.
During that same period, America cops killed one thousand and twenty-five people or one every eight hours all year long. With thirty-six cops shot and killed, that comes to one roughly every two weeks. That's thirty-six too many dead cops but the perspective relative to the enormous number they have killed is routinely whitewashed.

you go to such lengths to smear cops
there are multiple bomb disposal officers killed in the line of duty
In addition to the several police stations bombed in the 70s
your lack of research is disheartening
Cops routinely smear themselves and Laquan MacDonald's mother lives the most recent murder by them.
If cops want respect, they have to earn it just like anyone else. They whine about danger but thirty-six cops have been shot this year while they have shot 1126, up again from yesterday. The shootings are almost invariably whitewashed and yesterday they let cops off for killing Tamir Rice.
ODMP reported cops were killed by a bomb in 2015. That's complete bullshit and did not happen in U.S.
Your unwarranted defense of cops is disheartening relative to the abundant examples of their misbehavior.
Have you forgotten how the NYPD turned its back, en masse, on the Mayor for protesting excessive violence.
Minimizing what they have done coming as a consequence of poor training emphasizes the overall problem in which it's a big hit on the news when the cops launch an urban assault group complete with an armored vehicle and I know you've seen that multiple times. That their methods are excessive and needlessly destructive is shown by the very few of them who are killed relative to the number of lives they talk.
Good cops stop bad cops and there's one word to prove it: Scorpio
Let's go with a different word: SERPICO!
