The Most Colorful Strange Creature to Turn Up Today

There was an article earlier which implied these creatures have a lot of sex.  We did not read the article, we did not want to know.  It is still cool to look at them as these incredible colors seem to be common in them.

One variety is ultra-crafty and it eats the Portuguese Man of War.  Nematocysts are the stinging cells in the Man of War which can be deadly to humans.  The nudibranch doesn't eat the nematocysts but rather absorbs them so it can use them in its own skin and become possibly as deadly as the Man of War.

Nudibranchs are sometimes called 'sea slugs' but that name doesn't match their colors either.

Cool thing about sea slugs is they never have to worry if the one they find is male or female because it is. Any two sea slugs can breed

The fairy princess is scheduled to go snorkeling at a reef in two weeks. About 5 miles off shore and the water is azure blue and maybe 10feet deep
Hoping to find a few slugs on her journey

It's so beautiful that she sees such things and I mean the snorkeling in general because the sea slugs are added coolness on top of that. Does she have little gloves in case she is tempted to touch anything?? I'm sure knows not to touch anything but some gloves just in case might not be a bad idea.

There wouldn't be a practical way to do it but sending the action cam to you with a stack of microSD cards would be too, too cool. It has a plastic case which is good for (I think) about ten meters so it could easily handle snorkeling.

She only surface snorkels so touching isnt an issue. I am thinking about a camera. The dive shops have some pretty incredible set ups cheap. I can add those to the new electronic wall of Fraser.

I am trying to get Mrs Lotho to allow ziplining with her through the rainforest I think Fairy Princess will go for it

I'll be right there with her! What do you mean she will be ziplining?? What's to stop her from falling??? I'm sure it would be a grand experience for her but I do believe I'd be on the Mrs Lotho team on this one!

Zipliing is plenty safe. Full harness dual clips

I don't know how Anne could take it. She watched us do all kinds of crazy stuff and never said don't do it. For this one I would be sitting next to her and saying, wow, what do you think, huh??

Dunno if I could do it. Skydiving was supposed to cure a fear of heights but that only made it worse because now I know I can jump (larfs). If I go near the edge of something steep, I can seriously feel it start tilting. Other stuff doesn't scare me but that will reduce me to jelly.

I dont believe that is a fear of heights I think that is self preservation.
At the Grand Canyon, there is the clear walkway so you can walk out and look straight down. Still very uncomfortable more than walking to an unprotected edhe and looking down

Dunno if there's much self-preservation in getting high and going skydiving.

No chance that Grand Canyon walk will happen with me. I still remember on one of the cross-county jaunts when all of us rode in a transparent elevator on the outside of a building. Whichever architect designed that is one cruel bastard.

The self preservation was the intrlligence to back away from the edge.
It was pretty cool experience. I got Mrs Lotho out on it but that was probably because I was taking her daughters and the Fairy Princess with me.
Sears Tower in Chicago has a lucite floor for viewing. That was the only disturbing ealk like that Dont know why maybe the sway of the building

I liked it when I was skydiving and the parachute opened. Being out there and hanging in it doesn't have the terror even when it's much more distant to the ground. There is incredible terror until the parachute opens but there's a unique peace after it opens.
