Rand Paul made the strongest move of any of the so-called Presidential candidates yesterday in being the first Presidential candidate in fifteen years to stand up for freedom for the American people in defying the illegal, unjustified and grossly-offensive provisions of one of Washington's worst police state lies in history. Even Eugene McCarthy didn't have the effrontery to try to pass legislation as egregiously anti-American as that which presents in the Patriot Act.
Two of the highest-level welfare kids from NSA said several 9/11 attacks would have been prevented were NSA technology in-place at the time but that's yet another bare-faced lie as it's fully-documented the FBI was observing the Saudi pilots training in American flight schools. That information was sufficient to stop all of the 9/11 attacks and it was reported up to Attorney General Ashcroft, who did nothing with it. The NSA would have added zero to that process as the Bush administration ignored multiple other reports as well. This wasn't a conspiracy but rather just another example of the government's blazing incompetence.
The government claims it would have done something better than the way 9/11 was handled but that's ludicrous as it's the government which had the information and did nothing in the first place.
The response to 9/11 was, as always, to blame the people for it and a system was implemented to create the most egregious invasion of privacy since that which existed under the Soviet Union and Stalin. In a pseudo-war against Stalin, the US won only to subsequently lose by becoming just like him. The UK did the same thing and now you can't even use the toilet without someone knowing where and how long you took. They may not see the act (maybe) but the cameras see you going in there and see you coming back out.
The Patriot Act didn't do anything to prevent terrorists but rather it created three hundred million terrorists in an instant by assuming everyone in the United States is a potential terrorist and therefore must be monitored. It's the same as going into a department store in which they assume you are a shoplifter. The American citizen is insulted egregiously at every turn by the assumption of guilt by cops, politicians and dime-store hacks such as Pamela Geller and other substandard human beings of that nature whose only pleasure comes in racist hatred.
Rand Paul earned major credibility as a leader yesterday. Whether he can carry this through to demonstrate true substance to his position remains to be seen but, in a day, all of the other candidates became non-starters due to their spineless lack of support for him.
Hat tip to Rand Paul. Keep it up, boy. You just may turn out to be a good 'un yet.
