When You Get to the Stage of Oh, Bugger This

That's time for "Sleepless in Seattle" and it's so cloyingly sentimental and predictable but the charm is there even when the perfect thing happens every single time except for poor Walter who is screwed from the start but he bears it with grace.

Something we don't see in the movie is Tom Hanks' now-gone wife was a Bond girl.  She was played by Carey Lowell when she came to him as a vision in "Sleepless in Seattle" but she played a whole different woman as a Bond girl in "Licence to Kill."

Now you see why he was sleepless.

Since the missive is about Christmas and not Carey Lowell, it continues.

Happy Christmas, Little Fairy Princess
May your New Year be filled with joy and dancing penguins
From your granduncle Alan

I'm grand, see, it's right there in the title.

Note:  the reason for writing that is in case dancing penguins are a surprise.  I haven't sent it yet because it's been so cold cowboys have their tongues stuck to metal posts all over Texas.

Today's stoner Zen:  nothing is truly whole until the dancing penguins come.
