Elmer Kubrick, Brother of Stanley, Invents the Light Saber

Here we see Professor Elmer Kubrick with his first success toward developing a working light saber.  He had originally been commissioned for this work by DARPA for the CIA but he saw quickly what they would do with it and consequently rejected them such that the weapon could be used where it could truly battle evil as it helped to fight back at the Dark Side.

America and the Jedi owe so much to the research professors in the background who develop the science to make it all real.
