Possible New Years Video in Motion

The replacement charger and battery arrived today and that was a surprise right away since I just got notice the shipment went out yesterday.  I don't pay extra for speedy shipping, it just happened that way.  Amazon is getting quite snappy about that lately.

The charger / power supply was the problem and the camera has been recharging with the original battery since the device arrived.  The replacement will be a spare but that's fine since it cost much less than the original.

The failing camera was the reason I waved off shooting video a few days ago so that's now corrected or at least I thought so.  It turns out the battery is not charging and it doesn't work with either one.  The camera will still work so long as it's plugged into electric.

This means it has to happen with the second-hand tux, the purple hat, and the purple feather boa to record "Ride the Dragon" (I think) and shake things up a little bit.  What's more New Years than that.

There's one tiny detail since I will use one LED stage light but I don't believe I want it changing color as it goes which normally it would do.  That means changing dip switch settings on the back of it and maybe you know the joy of screwing around with those annoying little bastards.  You can't get any more primitive with computerish things unless you do it with smoke signals.

Since the outfit will be so purplish, using red or blue for the light will twist it but green should

Making that video and delivering it is the closest thing I can do to a Christmas thing and pulling it off by New Years Eve would still count for me since Christmas comes even before the Krampus comes around here and it's still not over.

Ed:  I don't recall anyone expressing a wish to Santa for a Silas video, particularly with a purple feather boa

You know how it goes with Crazy Eddie ... he doesn't wait for invitations as that would upset the balance of the Universe.

Overall, everything is splendid.  It's a drag with the battery problem but the camera can still be used even if not for portable filming.

It does look like tomorrow could be it for getting this happening finally.
