The Rockhouse has extolled the many virtues of Jungle Jim's market since it may well be the most comprehensive international market in the country with food products from just about anywhere.
The market takes in about ninety million dollars annually and Jungle Jim Bonaminio started it in the seventies as a roadside produce stand. The Rockhouse has great respect for him since he wasn't some million-dollar baby and he slept in an abandoned gas station while he was getting started.
(Then evolution happened)
This may have been prior to opening the second market in 2012 and you see he is far past roadside stands now. Yes, he does stock Vegemite and just about anything else you can imagine.
Jungle Jim's style, joie de vivre, and excellent sense of business and deal-making made that worth ninety million dollars annually and the beauty part is the food doesn't interest him and his preference is to eat at Waffle House. He's a remarkable character and you can read more about him. (epicurious: Jungle Jim's and the Art of the Tourist-Attraction Grocery Store)
Mystery Lady, there may be some things in that article about him even you don't know.
The phone rang several times but I did not get to it in time. The Lady of the House hasn't been here since yesterday so the chance of a hit on the phone isn't high just now.
Update: that sounded sordid so a bit more detail. She's with her mother for Christmas.
Maybe you remember a light flasher I used in the garage so I could see the phone was ringing even if I was playing. I've just found some similar devices on Amazon for fifteen to twenty dollars and one of those may help. That will have to wait just now but one of those could be useful.
